In the shadow of continuing tensions between India and Canada, local Indian media reported that the country has suspended the process of issuing visas to Canadian citizens.
Tensions in India-Canada relations have intensified after the killing of a Sikh separatist activist inside Canada. Canada blames the Indian government for the murder of 45-year-old Harip Singh Najjar.
Following the murder of this separatist activist, Canada has said that it will hold the perpetrators accountable, while India has denied these accusations.
