A former real estate agent has been jailed for 15 months for possessing methamphetamine, with her mother storming out of court as the sentence was read.

Siahn Cynthia Curran faced Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday, three years after she was fired from her dream job with Ray White after a previous brush with the law.

The 31-year-old was already on probation for the supply of drugs when police approached her in the Prince Consort Hotel in Fortitude Valley last January.

She had 10 grams of methamphetamine in her possession which was for personal use, the Courier Mail reported.

Curran pleaded guilty to one count of possessing a schedule 1 drug in a quantity of or exceeding schedule 3 but less than schedule 4.
